Frequently Asked Question:
creating fdf file
How do I set up a submit button that gathers the data entered on a form and emails it? I can create a button and get it to email using "mailto:" but what about the results (FDF file)?
Normally an FDF file is created by you PDF Viewing program when you fill in the form and press Submit. Quick PDF has no direct support for raading or writing FDF files. You will need to parse the FDF file yourself to extract the data. The file format is pretty straight forward and is well documented by Adobe.
Also, in Quick PDF, all form fields will be exported except those fields which are excluded by calling the QP.SetFormFieldNoExport(x, false) function which was recently added to version 7.24 which is being released very soon.
